Photograph study

A quick study just to relax. I messed up the values here and there but I had overall a good flow with that one. Although there is much to critic, I'm quite happy with it as it improved consistently until the end.

Self Portrait

Giant Belfry

This piece got inspired by Belfries and Giants which are one of the symbols of Northern France where I come from. I got inspired by the this logo and kind of got away from all those inspirations in the end.

I always find it funny how time is spent when you create a drawing/painting:
45 % of the time is spent exploring and finding the idea, 10 % is spent executing the idea and what makes the most difference, 45% is spent polishing and creating details.
Every stage is as much important as the previous one but can only work if you took the time to do things right. It's just that the 1st and last step takes a lot of time and are barely seen, yet they make so much difference. It also feels like that as long as you don't move on, the time spent is exponential, which is something that I'm trying to be aware of.
